As for changes we've been noticing, this week has brought many. Its like this little baby is really coming out of his shell. Jack is definitely more alert this week. His eyes get really big and it truly appears as though he's trying to communicate with us through his facial expressions. He's making real smiles (you know, the ones that don't appear to be gas-related)...which just melt my heart. We smile big right back at him and he really seems to enjoy it. It's amazing how such a little interaction like and exchange of a smile with your child can mean so much-- and make you feel so unbelievably connected.
He's doing well on his new eating and sleeping schedule. Consistently, he sleeps a stretch of 5-8 hours at night (and has been doing so since about 3 weeks-- such a nice gift for us). He loves to play on is Baby Einstein Activity Mat & his Tummy Time play mat. And we're reading to him during the day a lot-- he isn't really interested in his books yet, but I'm sure in time this will change. For now, its just fun for us to read.
