Jack Hits the Town

The weather this morning was just beautiful….and we were determined to take advantage of it. Nonna G and Dean came up to watch Jack on Saturday night so we (meaning Mike & I) could have a solo night out with our friends. It was great, just great. We got together with 8 of our close couple friends and went for a private wine tasting, then dinner, then some of us headed downtown to the Gateway District.

On Sunday, we thought we’d take Mike Mom, Dean, and Jack to do a little exploring downtown. It was a beautiful day, allowing Jack to go for a stroll on the Lakefront as we all got some nice fresh air under a clear blue sky. Gotta take advantage of the nice weather as it breaks into Spring!

Just to prove what amateurs in the parent world, Mike and I took Little Guy down to the Great Lakes Science Center thinking that we’d see nature stuff. You know, “great lakes” meaning there’s gotta be some wild life etc. Nope. The Great Lakes Science Center is truly a science (and technology) center that happens to be perched right atop on of the Great Lakes.

We still had fun though. Although Jack didn’t get to see fisheys, he did get to see some of the atoms and molecular exhibits (that had bright colored balls that he thought we’re really cool). We had fun—and I know that Jack will really dig this place in a couple of years.
