One Big Step

In newer developments, Jack's agility is truly beginning to amaze us. He runs-- in fact he loves to go fast on just about anything. Now, he's able to climb up and down a single step...even without much to grab onto....all of this at 18 months.

We were out on a restaurant's patio and with no railing or anything to pull himself up with, Jack climbed up a step. It wasn't just any step-- it was quite a big one. The step pretty much came up to his thigh. Taking his size into consideration, it would be like an adult stepping up from the ground to a small table. He was ginger about it, but he did it. I'm very impressed with how respectful his is of staircases. Even though he likes to run fast, when it comes to steps, he's quite cautious. He is really good about only trying to head down stairs backwards...and he takes his time doing so.

I wonder what he'll be up to next!!! All of this is so fun to watch!
